MainStroll (“MainStroll,” “we,” “us,” “our,” “Company”) respects your privacy and is committed to protect the personal information of its users. This Privacy Policy describes how MainStroll collects, uses, shares, and protects your personal information when you use MainStroll (the “Site”) and related services provided by 21st Main and/or its legal affiliates (the “Services”).

By accessing the Site and using its related Services including registering for a MainStroll account and/or using it as a business to share listings and business information, you consent to the terms and conditions of this Policy, including our processing, use, disclosure, and retention of personal information. If you do not agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy, please do not use the Services.

Information We Collect

When you register or interact with our Services, contact us for support, enter a contest, promotion or respond to a survey or poll, or submit information to us directly, we ask you to provide certain personal information including a valid email address. We will also ask you to provide additional information such as your first and last name, username, physical location and billing address, telephone number, business information, or profile information.

We also automatically collect information about you and your use of the Services using log processes, IP address, cookies, device and connection information, browser information and web-log information, URLs of the pages you visit, date and time stamps associated with such browsing, searches, and clicks. We automatically collect clickstream data, meaning the page by page clicks that you make as you navigate through our Services, including the web page visited before you came to our Services.

We collect all communications recorded by Users through the Site, location-identifying technologies, and other tracking technologies. Certain information is collected about you from third parties, such as when you connect through a third-party service.

We use this information to monitor and analyze use of the Services and for our technical team, to enhance the user experience of our Services, and to better tailor the Services to our visitors’ needs. We also use this information to verify that visitors to the Services meet the criteria required to process their requests. We may aggregate, analyze, and evaluate this information, and such aggregate data is not treated as personal information.

Once you register, your username and certain information is made public and may be visible to Users of the Site. For Merchants, this information includes photos you upload, your published listings, and additional information you may choose to add to your profile. Please be aware that certain information, such as your username and profile, together with the content uploaded by you, will be publicly displayed when you use such features.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Use of Information

We may use the information we collect about you to provide products and services and to support the following business purposes:

  • Provide the Services to you, including verifying your email address and enrolling you into our programs.
  • Management of your Account, including favorite stores, products, places, and services.
  • Recognize you when you return to our Services, save your registration ID and login password for future logins.
  • Provide customer service.
  • Facilitate and manage your browsing and shopping experience.
  • Operate, protect, improve, optimize, and personalize your user experience.
  • Make inferences about you and likely preferences, characteristics, and behavior.
  • Administer and fulfill contests or promotions.
  • Communicate with you and send you information by email, postal mail, telephone, text message, or other means about our Services, updates, security alerts, and account notifications.

Develop and maintain and safe environment:

  • Prevent, detect, mitigate, and investigate fraud, security breaches and activities that are or potentially may be prohibited.

  • Comply with our legal obligations.
  • Resolve any disputes with any of our users and enforce our agreements with third parties.

Legitimate interests, such as (i) keeping our records up to date (ii) providing the Services to you; (iii) maintaining or administering the Services (iv) performing business analyses or for other internal purposes to improve the quality of our business and the Services we offer; (v) prevention of fraud and financial crime to protect the public; (vi) communicating with you concerning programs or services consistent with our obligations to provide those services or otherwise; and (vii) participating in litigation, investigations, regulatory or governmental enquiries or for other legal or regulatory purposes involving our customers who use or have used our Services or other third parties. We will not unfairly place our legitimate interests above what is best for you.

Advertising and Marketing:

  • Provide you with personalized offers and similar information that may be of interest to you based on your preferences.
  • Administer reward or referral programs, contests, surveys, or other promotional activities managed by or in partnership with MainStroll.
  • You have a right to prevent direct marketing of any form at any time. If you decide at any time that you no longer wish to receive such communications from us, please follow the unsubscribe instructions provided in any of the communications.

If there is a sale of the assets of MainStroll or corporate restructuring, or because of a change of control of MainStroll or one of its group companies, or in preparation of any of these events any third party to which MainStroll transfers or sells MainStroll assets will have the right to continue to use the personal information and other information that you provide to us in the manner set out in this Privacy Policy.

Sharing Information

If you register through the Services and submit your personal information to create a profile or login credentials for MainStroll, other registered users may be able to see your Username and other personal information you choose to include in your profile or otherwise post or share.

Third Parties

We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes without your explicit consent.

MainStroll shares personal information as necessary with third party providers who provide us with services for operating the Site and to perform functions related to our Services. These include, without limitation, hosting services, authentication and support services, billing and payment, analytics, community management, CRM, performance tools, data and cybersecurity services, and communication services. These third parties have access to your personal information only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.

Legal

MainStroll may share information we collect, including personal information to law enforcement agencies in response to a subpoena, court order or other legal processes if we believe we are required to do so by law or if, in our sole discretion, it is necessary or appropriate to disclose personal information to law enforcement. We may disclose any information about you to law enforcement at the request of governmental authorities investigating; to enforce our terms of services, this policy, or other policies applicable to our Services; and to protect the safety, rights, security, life, property, and health of Company, our Users, or the public.

Merchants

MainStroll may share limited personal information from Users to inform and facilitate interactions between Merchants and Subscriber Users. For example, if you are a Subscriber who added a Merchant’s shop to your favorites, we may share limited information with the Merchant that you like their shop. Such information is limited and does not include personal identifying information and is only intended to inform the Merchant and enhance the User experience.

Business Transfers

We may share or transfer in part or all the information we collect, including personal information, in connection with a merger, acquisition, sale, bankruptcy or similar transaction. In such an event, the acquiring company would be required to use your collected information in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable law or to provide prior notice to you of any new or changed practices.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Data Retention

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Administrators can also see and edit that information.

MainStroll will retain your personal information for no longer than necessary for the purposes for which the information is processed. The length of time for which we retain personal information depends on the purpose for which we collect and use it or as required to comply with applicable laws and to establish, exercise, or defend our legal rights.

Cookies

MainStroll uses cookies and similar technologies (such as pixels, scripts, and tags) to improve and personalize your experience, provide our services, analyze website performance and for marketing purposes.

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Your Rights

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Account Information

We encourage you to maintain the accuracy of the information you submit to us. You may provide account updates by logging into your Service account and updating your information in the Settings.

Your Personal Information

All MainStroll users have certain rights regarding their personal information, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (CCPA) where applicable.

  • Right to access, remove, correct or verify your personal information that we hold.
  • Right to object, limit or restrict our processing of your personal information including collection, reordering, structuring, storage, adaptation, or use under certain circumstances.

California Residents

  • You have a right to know about the collection and elements of personal information that we have collected, used, disclosed, and sold about you during the past 12 months. Upon verification of your request, we will provide you with the (a) categories and sources from where we acquired your information; (b) the purpose of collecting the personal information; (c) the categories of third parties whom we disclosed your information for a business purpose or sold your information.
  • You have the right to request that MainStroll delete any personal information we have collected from you under certain circumstances.
  • Right to Opt Out of certain sharing of your personal information that California law defines as a “sale,” including our selling, renting, releasing, disclosing, transferring, or otherwise communicating your personal information to another business for monetary or other valuable consideration.
  • You have a right not to be discriminated against for exercising your rights under the CCPA. To exercise your right to opt-out of having your personal information shared in this way, please visit Privacy Preferences.

Note that under the CCPA, we are not required to respond to requests to know and access your information more than twice within a 12-month period. There is no charge for most requests, but if you ask us to provide a significant amount of data, for example, we may ask you to pay an administrative fee if permitted under applicable law and will provide you with a cost estimate before further processing your request.

EU Residents

  • You have a right to access, obtain, update and request deletion of your personal information with information about how we have collected and used that information.
  • You have a right to object or restrict to processing of your personal information at any time by withdrawing your consent.
  • You have a right to lodge a complaint to a data protection authority about our collection and use of your personal information.

Some recipients of the personal information above may be in other countries around the world with laws governing data collection that differ from the United States or EU law. If you submit personal information and use the Services offered by MainStroll, you consent to transfer, processing, disclosure, and storage of such information for the purposes described under this Privacy Policy.

Security

MainStroll is committed to safeguarding your information, the overall security of the Site, and prevention of unauthorized access, misuse, loss, damage, or destruction. We have implemented electronic and administrative security measures designed to protect your information. However, no security can ever guarantee the possibility that your information may be accessed by an unauthorized third party and we are unable to guarantee that your information will remain secure in all situations.

If MainStroll is required to provide notice of unauthorized access or invasion of certain security systems, you agree we may do so when required or voluntarily by sending notice to any email address on file or posting a notice on the Site. You agree that notice to you will count as notice to others for whom you are acting and agree to pass the notice on to them.

Minors

MainStroll and related Services are not targeted toward or intended for use by anyone under the age of 18 and we do not knowingly collect or sell information from those under the age of 18. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete such information.

Do Not Track

MainStroll does not currently honor requests to respond to Do Not Track signals.

Changes to Privacy Policy

MainStroll reserves the right to this Privacy Policy from time to time consistent with applicable privacy laws and principles. If we make changes to this Privacy Policy that will impact you as a data subject, we will notify you by revising the date at the top of this document and provide you with additional notice via email or on the Site.
